Ingredients

  • 1 tin chickpeas, drained
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 tsp tahini paste
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or flax oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp pumpkin seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Blend all of the ingredients (apart from the pumpkin seeds) together in a food processor or in a bowl using a hand blender.
  2. Add in a splash of water if you prefer a thinner hummus.
  3. Lightly toast the pumpkin seeds under a grill or in a small dry frying pan (just for a minute, as they brown quickly).
