Vegan Chorizo Style Sausage To Hit Shelves In Time For January

Squeaky Chiorizo Banner

Alternative meat magicians, Squeaky Bean, have created an authentic vegan Chorizo Style Sausage to cook with, and it’s a banger!

A scrumtious sausage for everyone

The new incredibly authentic looking Spanish chorizo style sausage can be eaten hot or cold and won’t lose that famous squeaky texture when cooked. With the same distinct red colour and fullness of flavour as a Spanish dry cured chorizo, due to the spices and seasonings it contains, including chilli, smoked paprika and garlic – it’s perfect for meat eaters, meat reducers, flexitarians, vegans and vegetarians alike.

Made with fava bean and pea protein, then cured just like dry cured Spanish chorizo sausage, the preparation process is what gives it an authentic texture and depth of flavour.

What’s more, these plant based sausages are high in fibre and a source of protein (16g per 100g).

Spanish food at it’s best: plant based!

Rebecca Youseman, Brand Manager, Squeaky Bean, said: “Our fans told us that they wanted to cook with Squeaky Bean, so we made a chorizo style sausage that’s great as an appetizer on a charcuterie board and even better to cook with. A quick and convenient meat swap; try it in pasta or paella for a richness of flavour and texture.”

The easy to prepare, Chorizo Cooking Style Sausage lands on supermarket shelves as the annual Veganuary campaign commences and people seek to manage their budgets in line with the cost of living crisis, buying at-home treats rather than dining out.

There’s more to come

Rebecca Youseman continues: “We’ve also launched brand new ranges including Jerk Chicken and Madras Chicken Style Folded Flatbreads, which are ideal for lunchtime, and a Kebab range, including Shawarma Chicken, Doner Spiced Beef and Turkish Kofta Style Kebabs – to help recreate your favourite Friday night takeaway at home.”

Availability

The new Squeaky Bean Cooking Chorizo Style Sausage will be available at Waitrose as of 28th December for an RRP £3.50 for 100g.
