Bridgerton-Inspired Afternoon Tea: Vegan Edition

Bridgerton-blog

With the much-anticipated release of season three, the Bridgerton boom is well and truly back, and what better way to celebrate its return than with a 100% plant-based Bridgerton-inspired afternoon tea?

There are no hard and fast rules about what to include in your afternoon tea, so get creative. Below, we’ve included some of your classic ‘finger food’ such as sandwiches, cakes and scones, as well as some more unprecedented options. Along with the traditional selection of teas with plant milks, you could also consider adding a bit of sparkle to the event by offering vegan-friendly champagne, prosecco, cocktails, mocktails or gin! Let your imagination run wild!

Set the Scene

What you’ll need:

To really immerse yourself in the Regency era in which Bridgerton is set, why not look to incorporate some of the ideas below into your afternoon tea.

Tip: Why not use bits and bobs you already have to hand, removing the energy, costs and materials that come with buying new? Not only will your afternoon tea be vegan, but by re-using items you already have, you can make it sustainable too – a win-win!

  • Regency-era-inspired costumes
  • Ceramic or porcelain-style tea set
  • Table flowers and plants
  • Table and tablecloth
  • Music from the Regency era (a string quartet might be a bit far-fetched so why not try Spotify for the Bridgerton soundtrack?)
