LEON Launches Vegan Smoked Garlic Aioli Into Supermarkets

LEON Garlic Aioli Launch

UK-based fast food chain and retail brand LEON has launched a new vegan smoked garlic aioli at Sainsbury’s supermarkets. The dressing is made with faba beans and smoked water, providing a twist on the brand’s original aioli recipe.

At the heart of LEON restaurants since 2004

The smoked aioli adds to LEON’s extensive sauce range, which also includes classic and harissa aiolis along with burger sauce and three varieties of ketchup, which are all available at Sainsbury’s, Asda, and Ocado. LEON’s new smoked garlic aioli is said to be ideal for dishes such as burgers, sandwiches, and salads, and can also be used as a dip.

“With its rich, full flavor, LEON aioli has been at the heart of our restaurant menus since 2004 and in our grocery range since launch in 2019 – it’s a year-round bestseller. This new smoked version really packs a punch, and garlic lovers won’t be disappointed,” said Ashley Davis, managing director of LEON Grocery.

Healthier fast food

LEON has a focus on healthier fast food, and has always offered a selection of vegan dishes. In 2019, the brand rolled out its biggest plant-based menu selection to date, featuring cheesy jackfruit wings, ice cream, milkshakes, and more.

The following year, LEON revealed that meat-free dishes were making up 60% of sales at its restaurants, with vegan burgers outselling meat for the first time.
