Introducing Honestly Tasty: Plant Based Cheese Packed with Taste

Honestly-Tasty-Blog

In recent years, the demand for plant-based alternatives to animal products has skyrocketed and the plant-based cheese industry is no exception. Among the many brands that have emerged to cater to this growing market, Honestly Tasty stands out as a game-changer in the world of plant-based cheese. With its commitment to high-quality ingredients, innovative flavours, and sustainability, Honestly Tasty has won the hearts of both vegans and non-vegans alike.

A Symphony of Flavors

Whether it’s spreadable cheddar-style cheese, ‘Shamembert’ with authentic camembert-style rind, or their award-winning blue cheese made with real Penicillium Roqueforti, Honestly Tasty offers a diverse range of plant-based cheese options that cater to different palates and culinary needs. By using a combination of innovative technology and traditional cheese-making methods, they have mastered the art of creating vegan cheeses that are both delicious and satisfying.

The Team behind the Brand

Honestly Tasty was founded by Mike when his veganism came up against his love for cheese. After months of experimenting, Mike developed a now award-winning recipe for vegan blue cheese. Too good not to share, he closed the door on corporate banking and alongside his sister Beth founded Honestly Tasty.

Sustainability and Ethics

Beyond its culinary prowess, Honestly Tasty takes sustainability and ethics seriously. With their aim of making plant-based cheese so delicious that it changes behaviour, Honestly Tasty is in business to create food for thought. By helping people to actively reduce their personal carbon footprint associated with traditional dairy production, Honestly Tasty’s focus lies on creating vegan cheese that’s so tasty that there’s no reason to not go plant-based. By changing perceptions, and ultimately behaviour, their commitment to a kinder and more sustainable future translates to a key ethos of giving back: Honestly Tasty currently donates two per cent of all revenue to charitable organisations such as The Dean Farm Trust animal sanctuary in Wales.

Innovation and Constant Improvement

At the end of May this year, Honestly Tasty went a step further with their vegan cheese development process and started launching their first nut-free cheese – a gournay style with garlic and herb. The decision to start removing nuts from all their recipes follows their mission to create second-to-none alternatives to dairy cheese. With the aim to continue reducing ingredient emissions, nuts in Honestly Tasty’s plant-based cheeses will be replaced with potato, tapioca starches, and vegetable proteins. A new, exciting space within the vegan cheese sector that takes us all a step further towards a diet with lower environmental impact and a reduction in animal exploitation.
