German’s FC Bayern Munich Football Coach Ditches Meat
Julian Nagelsmann, coach of the German record champion football club FC Bayern Munich, discussed his move to a meat-free diet in a press conference this Saturday.
“The issue of animal welfare was certainly the most important” for not eating meat, he explains. He made it clear that he wants to refrain from “eating creatures that have eyes.” He also stated that environmental protection is another important reason, “that also made me give up fish and meat. That’s a topic that should be important to everyone.”
The 34-year old sport coach has been ditching meat for the last month and exclaims: “I really don’t feel like giving up. It’s not a problem for me.”
