Supermarkets have reported higher sales of vegan food throughout the pandemic and vegan barbecue food has been flying off the shelves!

In the US, demand for vegan food during the pandemic has risen by 268% and German supermarkets have reported an increase of vegan product sales by 59% compared to last year. Waitrose has reported a whopping 80% increase in vegan barbecue food sales in the UK!

Here are our top shop-bought picks for a stand-out vegan barbecue. Whether you’re hosting your own vegan evening, you’re attending a non-vegan event or just want some delicious grub, here’s all you need to know…

  • Nando’s Sweet Chilli Jam – from £2.25 in the condement and/or free-from section of most major supermarkets

Packing a punch of spice, this peri-peri based sauce is warm, sweet and deliciously tangy. A true showstopper!

  • Biff’s: Plant Based Burger Sauce – from £2.50 in the condement and/or free-from section at Waitrose

A blend of tomato, mustard and pickle makes this perfectly creamy sauce for any patty. Great for dipping too!
